Special prize for FIbsen

Fibsen has proudly become the winner of the 2021 InnowiseScale Special Prize in the Utility Case Study category.

This competition focuses on finding innovative solutions to reverse water scarcity, changing from water misuse and pollution to reduce, reuse and non-use of water. The event was attended by excellent interviewers that discussed the challenge of water scarcity in Europe and the innovations in the utilities sector to cope with water scarcity.

Water scarcity has been exacerbated in the last decades due to increasing pressures, such as unsustainable water abstraction, pollution of water bodies, water leaks, the effects of climate change, and inadequate water planning. Water crises are becoming more frequent and acute, and the risk is increasingly affecting not only traditional dry regions such as the Mediterranean basin, but also more water-abundant regions. This new context requires an innovative approach built on existing knowledge and experiences. The InnoWise Scale Program is working on this direction.
